HealthFest returns to Welwyn Garden City
All aspects of health and wellbeing will be on the agenda when HealthFest returns to Welwyn Garden City on Saturday 7 September.
The free family event, taking place from 11am until 3pm outside the Howard Centre and along Howardsgate, gives attendees the chance to try something new and speak to a range of different organisations.
There will be interactive stalls from over 30 health, fitness and wellbeing organisations, offering demonstrations, activities, and healthy food and drink samples.
Stallholders include: Defibrillators in Public Places (DiPPs), Hertswise, East and North Herts CCG, Gymophobics, Welwyn Hatfield Community Safety Partnership, and Ubere Mama.
New for this year, Outspoken Cycles will be providing a smoothie bike - a stationary bike fitted with special blenders that spin as you pedal, mixing up delicious fruit smoothies.
Councillor Fiona Thomson, Executive Member for Public Health, said:
Now in its fifth year, HealthFest is a popular annual event that we know residents really value.
Leading a healthy lifestyle is so important, as is taking care of your mental wellbeing, and this event is designed to engage attendees in a fun way while giving tips on how to become that little bit healthier and fitter.
