Teddy Bear Fun Day returns to Mill Green

If you go down to Mill Green Mill and Museum on Wednesday (21 August) you're sure of a big surprise... as the Teddy Bear Fun Day returns!

Teddy

Children and their families are encouraged to bring along their favourite teddy bears to enjoy an afternoon of craft activities, Punch and Judy shows with Professor Dill, and delicious cream tea. The Miller's tearoom will also be serving light lunches and other refreshments.

There will also be badge making, story time and a teddy bear parade around the gardens, as well as other children's activities.

The event runs from 11am-3.30pm, and entry is free for adults and £5 for children aged 2+ (this includes entry to the mill and museum). There is no need to book in advance.

Councillor Terry Mitchinson, Executive Member for Leisure, Culture and Communications, said:

The Teddy Bear Fun Day is always a great day out for the whole family - teddy bears included!

Don't forget that BIG Summer continues across the borough until Sunday 25 August, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Visit one.welhat.gov.uk/bigsummer to see the full events calendar.

Parking can be an issue around this little gem of a museum so if you can take a train (Hatfield station is a mile away), bus, cycle, or walk that will ease congestion around this popular summer event.
