View updated plans for High View
Residents are invited to come and view updated plans for the £45m regeneration of High View neighbourhood centre in Hatfield.
A public exhibition will take place with the council's development partner, Lovells, on Monday 25 March from 3.00 - 7.30pm in Unit 16, High View.
The plans for 150 new homes, high quality retail units and inviting community spaces have been refined following feedback from previous public engagement events.
Changes include a new green space for a children's playground, creating a key focal point at the centre of the scheme.
It is hoped the plans will be finalised and submitted for planning approval next month. The programme, which will be carried out in stages to minimise the impact on the centre's shops and businesses and on the local community, is expected to take up to five years to complete.
Councillor Duncan Bell, Executive Member for Resources at Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, said:
This is the last chance for people to come and see the proposals before Lovells submit for planning and I really encourage people to visit. We've listened to residents' views and refined the scheme where possible, including the new play area, which we're positive will be a really popular addition.
The plans and feedback form will also be available to view online at www.highviewconsultation.com until Monday 8 April.
