Additional Restrictions Grant scheme reopens
Apply for additional funding to support businesses impacted by the Covid 19 restrictions after July 2021.
Welwyn Hatfield businesses impacted by COVID-19 which have not received government funding could benefit from the latest phase of our Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) scheme.
The Additional Restrictions Grant is a discretionary grant scheme to support businesses severely impacted by the national lockdown and coronavirus restrictions. The Grant is a one-off payment and will be subject to tax, where a profit is made.
Who can apply for the Additional Restrictions Grant?
We will prioritise support to the following:
businesses that continued to be affected by government restrictions after the 19 July 2021, and specialist suppliers to these businesses. Consideration will be given to the travel industry
the hospitality and events sector and suppliers to these businesses, that can demonstrate a continued high-level reduction in turnover. This will include businesses that provide food and drink to the general public for consumption on the premises. This will not include businesses which are mainly take-aways
- businesses which can demonstrate that they have not been eligible for Government support and have suffered a significant reduction in trade
Any business grants already paid to such businesses will be taken into consideration when determining eligibility. Businesses that are not rated and do not have any overheads but can demonstrate loss of earnings will be considered.
