HatTech opens for business
HatTech, our spacious, modern business centre designed to accommodate freelancers, entrepreneurs and small businesses, has been officially opened by the Mayor, Cllr Roger Trigg.
A £751k Local Growth Fund grant from Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has helped transform the first floor of the building in Beaconsfield Court, Hatfield into a creative hub offering flexible working space.
HatTech's Covid-secure co-working suite with high-end work stations offers a professional, clean, and safe alternative to the home office, while it's range of cost-effective office units are ideal for start-ups and small businesses looking to make the next step. The majority of the in-house services are also available to virtual office users.
The expansive working space is laid out to ensure social distancing can be comfortably observed, with hand-sanitiser stations placed throughout, as well as visual reminders of the safety guidelines.
Those needing a 'digital detox' during their day can enjoy the tranquillity of HatTech's Wellbeing Garden.
With six levels of membership options -- from five days a month to full 24/7 access -- HatTech is designed to suit the needs and budgets of small businesses, entrepreneurs and individual workers.
HatTech's outstanding facilities, flexible membership, and excellent location just two minutes from Hatfield station provides a convenient and creative environment in which businesses can thrive.
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Councillor Duncan Bell, Executive Member for Resources, said:
HatTech provides a safe, flexible option for those who are unable to work from home or do not want to commute further afield, for example into central London.
The health and wellbeing of clients is our highest priority and everything possible has been done to make HatTech Covid secure. I'm delighted that we're able to support our entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses to work safely in this exceptional local facility.
Blue Bear Security are one of HatTech's first tenants and owner Bobby Sokhi said:
We are delighted to have the opportunity to grow our business in this wonderful environment.
The HatTech team are professional and supportive and have really helped us to find our feet here. Our staff are very happy with the Covid measures HatTech have in place and we all feel safe at work knowing everything that has been done to make HatTech Covid secure.
Nitin Dahad, Chair of Hertfordshire LEP's Enterprise & Innovation Board said:
The COVID-19 pandemic has placed great strain on our local businesses, and we are continuing to invest in the measures needed to boost business growth and aid recovery.
Supported by our £751k investment, HatTech provides a COVID-secure environment for those who are not able to work from home, and in the longer term, will help to attract more businesses into Hatfield and address the growing shortage of employment space within the county.
Minister for Regional Growth and Local Government, Luke Hall MP said:
This government is committed to supporting our entrepreneurs and small businesses to grow and thrive. That is why we have invested £751,000, through the Local Growth Fund, to support HatchTech in Hatfield. I am delighted that the space is now open to local entrepreneurs and small businesses, allowing them to unlock the opportunities it will provide.
