Do you feel safe in Welwyn Hatfield?

How concerned are you about crime in your local area? Do you feel safe where you live? Welwyn Hatfield Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is inviting residents to share their views on how safe they feel in their local communities.

CSP Survey

The CSP consists of local organisations including the police, fire service, local council, education providers and justice services, united around a common goal to keep communities safe places to live, work and study.

Each year, they invite residents to complete a short survey to help shape and inform the priorities for the year ahead.  Previous feedback has resulted in the delivery of a number of initiatives to deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour including the introduction of CCTV and street wardens in key areas and working with people who are at risk of, or are already, committing anti-social behavior.

Councillor Bernard Sarson, Executive Member, Regeneration, Economic Development and Partnerships, said:

Community safety is a high public priority and can affect the quality of life for both individuals and communities. This survey provides us with vital information to help the Community Safety Partnership develop strategies to help keep our neighbourhoods safe. The views of local residents are essential in this process and we hope as many people as possible, will complete it, whether they are new to the area or have been a resident for a long time.
