Welwyn Hatfield local election results

Candidates contested 17 seats in 16 wards in the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council elections yesterday (Thursday 5 May).

The Conservatives retained overall control of the council. The full make-up of the council is: the Conservatives have 26 members, Labour has 10 and the Liberal Democrats have 12.

The overall turnout in the borough council elections was 35.2 per cent.

Ka Ng, Chief Executive of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, said:
