Moment of Reflection ahead of Queen's State Funeral
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is encouraging the community to join in a Moment of Reflection - a one minute's silence on Sunday 18 September 2022, to mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Ahead of the State Funeral on Monday, it's a chance for the public, wherever they are, to take a moment to reflect on the Queen's life and legacy, as silence falls at 8pm BST on Sunday.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Tony Kingsbury, said:
"This is an opportunity for us all to take time to remember the amazing service she gave the nation for 70 years, and her dignity, warmth, and tireless devotion to duty as our longest-serving monarch.
"Our community - and people across the country, and around the world - can remember in any way they wish to: with friends and loved ones at home, with neighbours on the doorstep; at a place of worship or even just individually if preferred."
