Plans unveiled for Hatfield's former Pizza Hut site
Residents are invited to come and view exciting plans for new homes, shops and public spaces across the 1 and 3-9 Town Centre site.
The plans will be displayed in The Hub at White Lion House on Saturday 6 July, 11.00 - 13.00, and Tuesday 9 July from 17.00 -19.00.
It is the first town centre site to be unlocked by proposals to consolidate town centre parking, bringing it together in one place with a new multi-storey on The Common car park.
Plans feature 70 flats, new retail units and improvements to the public spaces, including new paving, planting and seating areas.
Residents will also have an opportunity to discuss early plans for the other town centre sites earmarked for redevelopment, including Link Drive and The Common car parks.
Councillor Duncan Bell, Executive Member for Resources, said:
We were successful in securing £3.6m from Homes England - as part of a wider £10m investment in the borough - to accelerate the delivery of this site and we're really keen that residents come and see how plans have developed. We will be taking all feedback on board before submitting the proposals for planning.
The development of 1 & 3-9 Town Centre is a crucial step in the ongoing town centre regeneration plans to breathe new life into Hatfield and its economy - regeneration which has already seen £15m invested by the council.
