'A Space To Be...' relaunches
Welwyn Hatfield Museum Service will be hosting 'A Space To Be...' art sessions online for teenagers aged 12-18 this winter.
After lockdown there has been a huge increase in awareness of the mental health challenges which face some young people. This project offers a kind, safe, non-judgmental space where they can unwind and have some quality time out whilst taking part in art workshops.
Inspired by the museum collections, experienced artists have developed sessions based on drawing, painting, creative writing or collage. The sessions will be informal and you don't need to be 'good at art' to join in, every one of all abilities is welcome.
The sessions will be every Tuesday 4:30pm - 6pm starting from the 12 October and will run for 9 weeks. If you're interested or know somebody who you think might benefit from coming to the sessions please email email@example.com for more information.
