FREE Health & Safety training course
Take your next step into a construction career with a free 9 day course.
This free training course is designed to support individuals to gain qualifications required to secure employment in the construction industry. The course will run for 9 days and will be held at Mill Green Museum in Hatfield starting from Monday 11 July 2022. You must register your place by Thursday 7 July.
The Course Programme
This course programme consists of three main qualifications:
1. Skills for Construction
This Entry 3 extended certificate focuses on developing understanding and knowledge ready to work in the construction industry, enabling individuals to progress in to employment. It is tailored to suit requirements of the construction industry.
2. Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
This part of the course is the new requirement required by CITB as of 1st July 2014. It is a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Qualification.
3. Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) CITB (Green Labourer Card).
This is a nationally recognised qualification which enables candidates to work on construction sites. During the course period relevant topics will be covered to prepare the learner to conduct the CITB online test.

To enroll on the course, you will need to ensure you meet the following eligibility requirements:
- you're 19+ years old
- you're in receipt of benefits, or earning under £18,535 (proof must be provided)
You must also be able to provide your national insurance number, a valid passport or UK driving license or a birth certificate. Non-British Nationals that do not possess a valid UK Passport must provide their Residency Permit or Status Code regardless of having other forms of ID.
