WHBC and its leisure partner GLL, have completed a major refurbishment of the wet side changing rooms at Hatfield Swim Centre, offering a more modern and comfortable experience for customers.

The refurbishment took five weeks to complete and involved an extensive overhaul of the changing area. Among the many improvements are new LED lighting, a new colour scheme and improved facilities to make the whole Swim Centre experience more enjoyable.

The refurbished changing rooms were officially opened on 23 November, with a presentation attended by the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, Cllr Pankit Shah, Leader of the Council, Cllr Paul Zukowskyj and Chief Executive Ka Ng, plus GLL’s General Manager Vishal Karia, Partnership Manager, Jeremy Lake, and other staff members.

The project cost £72,000 and was partly funded by Section 106 grant funding which comes from local developers to support local community provision.

The new changing rooms are modern, bright, and spacious and offer a much better experience for our customers. I would like to thank GLL for their partnership and dedication in helping deliver this project. Come and try out the new facilities for yourself!

General Manager, Vishal Karia, said: “We are delighted to unveil our new wet side changing rooms, which have been transformed into a more welcoming and comfortable space for our customers.
