Share your views on new and improved community spaces
Local residents and community groups are invited to have their say on the future of community facilities in Welwyn Hatfield.
In support of the Local Plan implementation process, an online survey is seeking to gather views to guide future decisions on where and how better facilities are provided.
The survey considers all types of facilities that are available for wider community use, including community centres, village halls, places of worship, activity centres and clubhouses.
The results will be used to shape future provision through a new Community Spaces Strategy, ensuring growth in the borough is supported by the facilities our communities will rely on.
Cllr Nick Pace, Executive Member for Housing and Communities, said:
We are interested to hear from community groups who own or manage facilities, as well as the wider public who use them.
Good quality, accessible spaces are at the heart of our towns and villages, hugely valued by so many, and this work will help us better understand what our communities need in the future.
The responses will shape an overall strategy, which we will then use to inform decision making - including seeking financial contributions from new development toward community facilities.
The deadline to respond is Monday 4 March 2019.
