The club is based at the Jim McDonald centre and was formed in 1985 by Sue West and Jenny Pritchard.

<p>Founded as a small club in 1985 by Sue West and Jenny Pritchard, Flips now has over 300 members.</p>
<p>Sue and Jenny have a wealth of experience and started as competitive Artistic Gymnasts. In 1983 they switched to Acrobatic Gymnastics, going on to represent Great Britain on several occasions as a Women's pair and then as a Women's trio, teaming up with Tina Hall.</p>
<p>They started Flips with an aim to pass on their love of gymnastics to others and to encourage children to participate in the sport.</p>
