A local Taekwondo club in Welwyn Garden City is celebrating an impressive first year after growing from just six students into a thriving community hub for families and individuals. Founded in February 2025, the club has quickly established itself as a welcoming environment focused on fitness, discipline, and community spirit. Over the past 12 months, its members have not only developed their skills but also achieved notable competitive success. Students from the club have competed in Taekwondo Association of Great Britain events, returning with an array of titles including British, Midlands, and Double English Champion honours — a remarkable achievement for such a young club. The club prides itself on supporting young people, encouraging confidence, and bringing families together through shared activity. Its inclusive approach has made it particularly popular with families looking to train and stay active together. Training sessions are held at Goslings Sports Centre on Wednesdays and Sundays, offering classes for juniors as well as mixed-age groups. As part of its continued growth, the club is currently offering two free sessions to new students, inviting members of the local community to experience Taekwondo in a friendly and supportive setting. With strong values and growing success, Welwyn Garden City Taekwondo Club is quickly becoming a valued part of the local community — and its future looks bright.
