At Welwyn Hatfield, there are a variety of nature rich green spaces, parks and playgrounds to discover.
Garden city
At the heart of Welwyn Garden City town centre you'll find the beautifully landscaped Howardsgate, Parkway and Campus spaces which you can explore through the heritage walking trail.
Woodlands and nature reserves
The area is surrounded by a variety of attractive local woodland and nature reserves.
Including the Danesbury Fernery nestled on the north side of Welwyn Village, offering a delightful array of flowering plants and mature trees. You can also relax on one of the many benches positioned along the pathways.
Parks and playgrounds
There are a range of children's play areas and you can find local parks to exlpore using the ParksHerts website.
Cycling and walking routes
You can find some wonderful walking and cycling routes in the area, including:
