Applications for Annual Community Grants are now open!
Community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations can now apply for Annual Community grants of up to £20,000 to support community projects.
The funding is for projects that make a positive impact on the community and support residents of the borough, whilst also contributing to one or more of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s priorities.
With a new online application process, it’s easier than ever to apply for funding. The council has also broadened its criteria to make sure as many community organisations as possible in the borough can benefit from the funding.
Councillor Max Holloway, Executive Member for Community and Leisure, said:
“Providing extra support to our local community is a priority for us and these grants are a great way of helping local community groups and organisations who may struggle to find funding for their projects. I'm really pleased that we are able to offer this extra support, helping them to achieve their aims which make a big difference to the local community.”
The closing date for all applications is Thursday 2 November. The applications will then be reviewed by the Council’s Grants Board.
To apply, visit the council’s website and complete the short application form: www.welhat.gov.uk/communitygrants.
