Public consultation on the Landscape Management Plans
We are pleased to announce the launch of a public consultation on the Landscape and Local Nature Reserve Management plans for Danesbury and Singlers Marsh.
The proposed landscape management plans cover the next 10 years, from 2023 to 2033, and aim to achieve good practice and management of the sites while supporting grant funding applications.
The plans are designed to be read and understood by all who are involved or interested in the management of the sites, with the aim that more people understand, contribute, and have a say in how the sites should be managed.
The structure for both plans is very similar in that they give a background to the sites, policy context, analysis and evaluation of the sites, aims and objectives, action plans, and a monitoring and review process. The plans also aim to provide context for the sites’ historical and contemporary landscape and highlight their existing biodiversity and habitats.
Cllr Sandreni Bonfante, Executive Member for Environment, said:
The Landscape Management Consultation is an opportunity for residents to have their say on how we manage these important sites. We want to make sure that our plans are informed by the needs and priorities of our community and that we continue to protect and enhance these valuable natural resources.
Residents and businesses can find out more and complete the consultation survey online.
Alternatively, consultation documents are available at the council offices, or by calling 01707 357000.
The consultation closes on Thursday 30 November.
