Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council launches climate action survey for residents
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is inviting residents to take part in a new survey on climate action.
The survey aims to understand how residents feel about climate change, what they are doing to reduce their environmental impact, and what support they need from the council and other organisations.
The survey is part of the council’s commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions as a borough by 2050. The council recognises that it cannot achieve this goal alone, and that the support of residents will be vital in making positive and lasting behaviour changes.
Councillor Paul Zukowskyj, Leader of the Council and Executive Member, Climate Change, said:
We want to hear from as many residents as possible about their views and actions on climate change. This will help us to shape our future policies and programmes to support our communities to become more sustainable and resilient. We also want to celebrate the good work that is already happening across the borough and inspire others to join us on our journey to net zero.
The survey will run from Thursday 2 November to Thursday 30 November. Residents who complete the survey will have a chance to win a £30 electronic gift card for the RSPB.
Alternatively, they can request a paper copy of the survey by calling 01707 357000 or emailing whc@welhat.gov.uk.
