Help and support this winter

"Sometimes we need a helping hand to keep the rain at bay"

This winter, Hertfordshire County Council want to make sure that advice and support is available to help every resident deal with the rising cost of living.

Support

Practical help is available for those who need it most. To make sure everyone knows what financial support is available, we are highlighting trusted sources of local and national information to help you manage your finances, make savings, and look after your own health and wellbeing. All information can be accessed via Hertfordshire County Council’s ‘Cost of Living’ webpage

Community Spaces

Visit one of our Community Spaces this winter, where you can socialise and enjoy activities in a safe, warm area as the days get colder. You can also book free transport if you need help getting there. Browse the spaces available in your area.

HAPpy camps

The HAPpy programme is running more than 100 activity camps this winter from 21 December – 3 January. Book a holiday activity now by visiting www.sportinherts.org.uk. There are nearly 9,000 free activity camp places. Eligible families should get their booking code from their school and reserve a place at a camp near them as soon as possible.

Mental Health Support

Are money worries causing you to feel worried, stressed or anxious? It can help to share how we feel with other people who understand. Join Togetherall today, an anonymous online community of people who can support each other.
