Cllr Max Holloway, Executive Member for Community and Leisure, said:

Community organisations play a vital role supporting residents. Recognising their significance, it becomes our responsibility to extend our support to them. The Start-up Grant is an initiative that provides these organisations with the opportunity to secure funding that can assist with administrative costs that are often a hurdle when setting up. I encourage all eligible organisations to seize this opportunity.

The chair of the grants board, Cllr Michal Siewniak has said: “As part of this year’s annual grants process, the grants board felt it was important to encourage some applications from smaller organisations to support their growth. The grants board look forward to reviewing the applications and allocating the funding to community organisations, enabling them to fulfil their objectives. We welcome as many applications as possible from different sectors that are committed to making a positive impact on the community.”
