WHBC invites you to honour your mothers and mother figures at Oak Hill’s Mother’s Day Memorial Service

This service is open to the public and is an opportunity to honour and celebrate the lives of mothers and mother figures who are no longer with us, but who remain in our hearts and memories.

Visitors are welcome to light a candle, write a message, or post a card for their loved ones at dedicated areas within the cemetery. They can also enjoy some refreshments and soothing music as they reflect and remember.

The service is open to all, regardless of faith or belief, and there is no charge to attend. Visitors can come and go as they please between 11am and 12 noon.

We’re delighted to host this special service for Mother's Day at Oak Hill Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium. We know how important it is to have a place to remember and honour our loved ones, especially on such a meaningful occasion. We hope that this service will bring comfort and solace to those who have lost their mothers or mother figures and that they will feel the support and care of our community.

Oak Hill Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium is located at South Way, Hatfield, AL10 8HS. It is a peaceful, green place to remember in beautiful countryside, owned and managed by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. The cemetery was founded in 1984 and offers both burial and cremation plots. The crematorium and landscaped gardens were completed in summer 2023, providing state-of-the-art facilities that are fully accessible and cater for all faiths. The on-site Bereavement Services Team ensures quality, specialist support is always available.
