Welwyn Hatfield Local Election Results
Candidates contested 16 seats in 16 wards in the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council elections yesterday (Thursday 2 May).
The new make-up of the council is: Labour 20, Liberal Democrats 16 and Conservatives 12. This means that the Council remains in no overall control.
The overall turnout in the borough council elections was 32.7 per cent.

Voters also went to the polls to elect Hertfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC). The PCC is responsible for ensuring that the police meet the needs of their local communities. Conservative candidate Jonathan Ash-Edwards was elected as Hertfordshire's new PCC.
