This October marks the first anniversary of the launch of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s (WHBC) community lottery, and we are celebrating with a special prize draw!

This October marks the first anniversary of the launch of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s (WHBC) community lottery, and we are celebrating with a special prize draw!

The One Welwyn Hatfield Community Lottery is a weekly lottery that raises money for good causes such as local charities, sports clubs and non-for-profit organisations.

To celebrate the lottery’s successful first year, WHBC have announced a special prize draw with the chance to win a GeoBook Laptop!  To enter the draw, all you need to do is purchase a lottery ticket by Friday 25 October. The draw will take place at 12pm on Saturday 26 October – good luck!

Since its launch, 47 local organisations have joined the lottery, benefiting from the funds raised. With 18,856 tickets sold, a remarkable total of £11,313.60 has been raised – a fantastic achievement!

If you represent a good cause and meet the eligibility criteria, you can raise money through your own lottery page.  There are no costs or admin fees to become get involved, making the lottery an accessible and effective way to generate much-needed funds. The Lottery is a great way for local organisations to raise much needed funds so I would encourage everyone to buy a ticket and maybe win the laptop!”
