All the fun of the circus is coming to Hatfield Town Centre!

From 10.30am-2.30pm visitors can try their hand at plate spinning, Diabolo (the spinning reel game), juggling, unicycling and stilt walking with help from the professionals, who will be on hand throughout the day. Younger visitors can enjoy having their faces painted.

It’s part of the Hatfield Town Centre Events 2025 programme which has already played host to: the Hatfield Town Centre Takeover, with magic, face painting and activities; an out of this world Star Wars event, offering budding Jedi some Jedi training and themed intergalactic games; a Pokémon afternoon with a quiz and giveaways; an egg-citing Easter Fun day, and a Spring Fair featuring a strength challenge and mega buzz wire game!

Councillor Max Holloway, Leader of the Council and Executive Member, Economic Development and Climate Change, said,

“We have had some fantastic events in Hatfield Town Centre, and I think it’s fair to say there’s been something for everyone! This Circus Skills event promises to be an exciting addition to the programme and will be a lot of fun – as well as teaching some exciting skills! Supporting our town centres is a priority for the council and I would encourage everyone to keep an eye on the One Welwyn Hatfield website and Council social media channels to find out about all the other great events we have lined up. See you by the stilt walkers!”

The event will be running alongside the popular Hatfield Charter Market, and you can park for free for up to 3 hours in the Common Multi-storey Car Park.

The events programme is funded by the UKSPF, a UK-wide Government scheme helping investment in town centres and supporting local businesses.
