Disney’s Stitch set to star at Hatfield’s Summer Fun event
The weather’s heating up this June and so is Hatfield Town Centre with a fun-filled day of free family entertainment taking place in White Lion Square on Saturday 28 June!
Running from 10am – 3pm, the event promises something for everyone, with lots of fun activities including face painting, a mini-disco filled with fun games, interaction and dancing, bubble sessions and giveaways throughout the day of garland flower Hawaiian Lei necklaces for children.
A highlight of the day will be a special appearance by Stitch, the much-loved Disney character from Lilo & Stitch, who will be in town from 12pm for meet-and-greet sessions and photo opportunities — perfect for young fans and families!
Councillor Max Holloway, Leader of the Council and Executive Member, Economic Development and Climate Change, said:

Whether you’re popping to the market or planning a day out with the kids, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy at our Summer Fun Day, especially when Stitch is in town! Supporting our vibrant town centres is a key priority for the council and events like this not only create memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike but also boost footfall and provide valuable support to local businesses. The event will be running alongside the popular Hatfield Market and visitors can take advantage of up to 3 hours free parking in the town centre’s Common Multi-storey Car Park.
This event is part of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s summer events programme, funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), a Government initiative supporting town centre investment and local businesses.
