The much-anticipated Hatfield Community Fair is back for its fourth year at White Lion Square on Tuesday 12 August from 11am to 3pm.

This community event offers a fantastic opportunity for visitors to connect with organisations, charities, and community groups providing a wide range of support services.

Visitors can also look forward to a fun-filled day packed with free activities for all ages including live music from local composer and pianist Music2Connect and children’s face painting, a climbing wall, a BMX pump track and a photo booth.

The popular fair showcases how local groups are working for stronger, more resilient communities and local residents can get involved and sign up for activities.  Participants include:

  • Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s Healthy Hub, Private Sector Housing team and Residents Panel
  • Hertfordshire Trading Standards
  • Communities 1st
  • Welwyn Hatfield Citizens Advice
  • NHS Health Bus
  • Campus West
  • GLL – Hatfield Swim Centre, Gosling Sports Park and Healthwise

Councillor Jane Quinton, Deputy Leader and Executive Member, Leisure and Community, said:

Keeping the community in touch with council services and outlining the help available for everyone is a key priority for the council and this year’s Hatfield Community Fair really does have something for everyone. It’s an opportunity to find out about the valuable support that is available for residents while at the same time enjoying family-friendly entertainment.  The Fair is a great way to connect with the many local services that are available whilst enjoying a fun day out. I encourage everyone to make the most out this wonderful free event – and don’t forget to check out our events calendar on the One Welwyn Hatfield website for more free events this summer.”
