Free Outdoor Fun Day in Hatfield Town Centre

Families and visitors will be able to enjoy a day of free outdoor activities and entertainment in Hatfield Town Centre on Saturday 13 September, from 10am to 3pm.
White Lion Square will be transformed into a fun-filled space with something for children of all ages to enjoy. Highlights will include outdoor games, a disco, giant bubbles, face painting, and performances from a children’s entertainer and roaming acts - all completely free!
There will also be live music from Music2Connect, a talented pianist who recently captivated audiences at the popular Hatfield Community Fair. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a varied set featuring uplifting pop ballads, cinematic pieces, and music from around the world – the perfect soundtrack to a lively family day out.
The day will be a great opportunity for families to spend time together enjoying the activities on offer or picking up a bargain at the popular Hatfield market which will be running alongside the Outdoor Fun Day.
Councillor Jane Quinton, Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Leisure and Community, said:
Free events like the Outdoor Fun Day are a great way to bring our communities together and enjoy everything that Hatfield Town Centre has to offer. Families can make the most of their weekend just as the school term starts. There’s also up to three hours of free parking at The Common multi-storey car park so I would encourage you to come along and make the most of the free activities on offer.
The Outdoor Fun Day is part of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s summer events programme, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) - a government initiative supporting town centre investment and local businesses. Following this event, the programme continues with Dinomania, an interactive dinosaur experience taking place on 27 September.
