Be Winter Ready: Apply for free salt for your community
Hertfordshire County Council’s Winter Self Help Scheme is now open and accepting applications for free road and pavement salt.
The scheme enables schools, residents’ associations, community groups, and councils to request up to 20 bags (400kg) of salt to help keep local roads and pavements clear in icy conditions. A limited amount of salt is available.
