Town Centre Together Event: Family Fun in Hatfield This Saturday

Face painting in town centre

Head down to White Lion Square and the newly refurbished Market Place on Saturday 11 October for a fantastic day of free outdoor activities and entertainment for the whole family.

Between 10am and 3pm, families can enjoy professional kids’ entertainment with a lively disco, giant bubbles and fun outdoor games, with colourful face painting available from two artists throughout the event. Live music from Music2Connect and First Serve Music will fill Hatfield Town Centre once again and for those feeling creative, the library will also be hosting an arts and crafts drop-in session – perfect for little makers and creators!

The event is also a celebration of the exciting refurbishment of Market Place. Kids can enjoy the new inclusive play equipment including the trampoline, nest swing, roundabout, and play tower!

Councillor Jane Quinton, Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Leisure and Community, said:

Free events like the Town Centre Together event are a great way to bring our communities together and enjoy everything that Hatfield Town Centre has to offer.  Families can make the most of their weekend just as the school term starts. There’s also up to three hours of free parking at The Common multi-storey car park so I would encourage you to come along and make the most of the free activities on offer.

The event is completely free to attend and will run throughout the day, alongside the popular Hatfield Market.

This event is part of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s events programme, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) – a government initiative supporting town centre investment and local businesses.
