Cracking fun in Welwyn Hatfield this Easter!

There will be some egg-cellent adventures in Welwyn Hatfield this Easter, and we have the egg-sclusive on what’s on offer for children and people of all ages!

Campus West

Film fans are in for a treat with the chance to hop into the cinema and catch brand-new releases, ‘Hoppers’, ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ and ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’. Meanwhile, young explorers can embark on a dino-mite journey with Dinosaur Adventure Live on Monday 30 March, bringing prehistoric creatures to life in an action-packed, family-friendly theatre show.

For the skate enthusiasts, extra holiday sessions will be taking place at RollerCity, including the ever-popular Holiday Roller Skate Disco running every weekday throughout the Easter break. It’s a fun way to stay active, show off your skate moves, and enjoy some music and games on wheels!

Little ones can spring into an Easter-themed day of play in Soft Play on Saturday 4 April. Enjoy an easter egg hunt, crafts and a themed photo opportunity included in your entry fee.

Hatfield Town Centre

On Saturday 4 April, the ever popular Easter Eggstravaganza event is returning to White Lion Square! Highlights will include free face painting, balloon modelling, Easter themed arts and crafts, a children’s entertainer and even a special visit from the Easter Bunny! Hop along between 10am and 3pm.

Stanborough Park

Those with little adventurers, look no further, Xplorer is back! Running between Friday 3 and Friday 10 April from 10am-2pm at Stanborough Park, put your map skills to the test to find the hidden Easter themed cards around the park. Simply collect a free map from the Splashlands kiosk and set off on your adventure!

Splashlands, the award-winning water park will be re-opening on Saturday 28 March. The splash pad will be open every day from 10am to 5pm, weather and temperature dependent. Entrance to Splashlands is free, refreshments will be available from the kiosk, and the changing facilities and public toilets will also be open.

Mill Green Watermill and Museum

New for this Easter, the Mill is launching its Garden Easter Trail on Friday 3 and Sunday 5 April, running from 10am–3:30pm. Little adventurers can follow the trail and enjoy a delicious prize from The Miller’s Tea Room – yum! Plus, Easter-themed arts and crafts will be available and included with general admission, making it a perfect spring day out for the whole family!

Welwyn Roman Baths

Step back in time for the ultimate immersive history lesson, and hear how the Romans lived in Welwyn over 1,800 years ago at the Welwyn Roman Baths! Open from 10am to 4pm every Saturday, including over the Easter period. Easter themed crafts and activities will be free with admission on Saturday 4 April.

The Hive

The HAPpy Camp returns to The Hive in Hatfield! The camp offers a fun, friendly multi-activity holiday programme for 6–12-year-olds, focused on a combination every day of multi-activity sports, fun and games, alongside arts & craft-based activities. The HAPpy Camp is open to children who are registered to receive benefits-related free school meals. Find out if you qualify online.

There are also Freddie’s Den soft play sessions open Monday to Friday.
