SHARE Museum East funding - Mill Green Museum - Climate Hub

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council are exploring different funding avenues to help pay for decarbonisation projects.

This latest funding has helped toward upgrading the lighting at Mill Green Museum

As a council, we are thinking out side of the box to ensure we take advantage of all funding opportunites that can help in our bid to decarbonise our buildings and become more sustainable. For instacne, this funding opportunity was available to museum owners and managers only, and as the Council owns Mill Green Museum, we were eligible to apply.

We were delighted to have been successful in securing the grant and have matched the allocated funding to support the project.

We’re pleased to have worked in partnership with SHARE Museums East to upgrade all the old lighting to new LED's and look forward to seeing the impact of the more efficient lighting on our carbon emissions over the coming year, once the system has been installed and fully operational.
