The Environmental Improvement Grant funding is aimed at supporting projects which enhance biodiversity on local land and communities.
Applicants can request funding from Herts County Council for up to 50% of their project costs, capped at £3,000.
Example Projects:
- Ecological improvement to enhance biodiversity such as wildflower meadow restoration or the management of trees and woodland.
- Tree planting in areas smaller than one hectare.
- Water bodies and wetlands such as the creation or restoration of ponds, wetlands or reedbed.
