The Warm Homes Local Grant scheme helps households save money on their fuel bills and enjoy more comfortable and healthy homes.

Eligible households can receive up to £30,000 of fully funded (free) energy-saving home improvements, such as: wall, loft or underfloor insulation, draught-proofing, heating controls, double glazing and heat pumps.

Homeowners and privately renting tenants can apply for this funding if they live in a property with a low energy efficiency rating (EPC ratings of D, E, F or G) and have either:

  • A household income of £36,000 per year or less
  • A person in the household receives means-tested benefits
  • The property is situated in an area with elevated levels of economic need

The funding is being delivered in partnership with the National Energy Foundation (NEF), who will assess eligibility on behalf of the council and coordinate the installation of energy-saving improvements for successful applicants through the Better Health, Better Housing referral form.

Make sure you mention the Warm Homes Local Grant in your submission.
