In 2019, the council declared a climate change emergency and committed to ambitious targets; achieving net zero by 2030 within the council, and across the whole borough by 2050.

We can’t achieve this alone - we need your help. Every person in Welwyn Hatfield plays an important role in this journey, by getting involved to reduce our community’s carbon footprint and thinking greener to create a more sustainable place to live.
