This Girl Can Week – calling sports providers!
This Girl Can Week in Welwyn Hatfield returns from 9 to 15 June and WHBC is encouraging local sports clubs, leisure providers, community organisations, and schools to sign sign up!
Part of Sport England’s ongoing This Girl Can campaign; the week is dedicated to encouraging more women and girls to get active. Celebrating its tenth year, This Girl Can Week continues to have a positive impact on changing female attitudes towards sport and exercise.
If you’re a sports club, leisure provider, community organisation or school who would like to offer an activity as part of the borough’s This Girl Can week, please complete the online form at one.welhat.gov.uk/thisgirlcan by Friday 30 May 2025.
All clubs and organisations submitting an activity will be entered into a prize draw to win £250 to use on women's and girls' activities. Full terms and conditions can be found on the website.
All the activities will be publicised on the council’s events calendar at one.welhat.gov.uk/events. From kayaking and paddleboarding to yoga and skateboarding, there’ll be something for everyone throughout the week - so don’t miss out on submitting your event details and being part of the celebration!
