Competition terms and conditions

1. The Promoter

The promoter is: Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, Council Offices, Campus East, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6AE.

2. The competition

2.1    The competition is for sports clubs/organisations to win £250 to purchase equipment or deliver sport and physical activity sessions for women and girls.

3. How to enter

3.1    The competition will run from 12.04.2024 to the 17.06.2024.
3.2    Entering the competition
3.3     All clubs and organisations that submit a sport or physical activity session on the webform for ‘This Girl Can’ in Welwyn Hatfield taking place between the 10-16 June 2024 will be entered into a prize draw to win £250 for their club or organisation to purchase equipment or deliver women and girls sport and physical activity sessions.

4. Eligibility

4.1    The competition is open to any sports club or organisation that deliver sport or physical activity in Welwyn Hatfield.
4.2     All activities must be submitted on the online webform.
4.3     The activities submitted must include sport or physical activity and must be delivered to women and girls between the 10-16 June 2024.

4.4 You must submit your attendance form and complete the evaluation form after you have delivered your sessions. These must be sent to sport@welhat.gov.uk
4.5    In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.6   The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

5. The Prize's 

5.1    There will be one winner who will receive £250 for their club/organsiation to be used to purchase equipment or deliver women and girls sport and physical activity sessions.
5.2    The prize's are not negotiable.  
5.3    The prize's are non-transferrable and is not redeemable for cash.

6. Winners

6.1    One winning entry will be selected on Monday 17 June 2024.
6.2    The winner will be notified by email.

7. Claiming the prize

7.1    If you are the winner of the prize, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council will contact you via email. If no response is received after 5 days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.

8. Consent

9.1    By participating in this competition, you agree to be featured in any/all Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council produced for social media and any future Digital/traditional marketing material. 

9. Data protection and publicity

10.1    All email addresses will be held securely on a server in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.  To find out more about how we use your data, please see our Privacy Notice.
10.2    Personal data is never sold or shared with other charities or companies.

10. General

11.1    If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
11.2    The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
11.3    These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
