Campus East Car Park
Campus East Car Park will be the major development of WGC 2120 and is the main reason we are making the changes to the various town centre car parks.
The Campus East Car Park site has the potential to deliver up to 280 new homes, and will be the first major development site to the west of the railway line for many years. We will ensure that any development is appropriate for its position within the Garden City.
'Of the garden city'
Well-designed places add environmental, economic, social and cultural value. WGC as one of the world's first healthy towns, offering the best of town and country, is a testament to good design. As WGC developed over the years, differences in the style and character have developed in different parts of the town. We have made sure to understand what the garden city and its distinctive vernacular and commissioned a series of guiding documents including a Heritage and Townscape Assessment, Building Code and a Heights Threshold Study, to ensure future developments of the WGC 2120 projects are 'of the garden city'.
