Kane International Ltd switch to LED lighting - Climate Hub

Summary
As part of Welwyn Hatfield’s partnership and involvement in the Eastern New Energy Project, Kane International had an energy audit conducted, and implemented the recommendations. They used the funding to upgrade their car park flood lights to energy efficient flood lights.

Phillip Judd, the HR and Payroll manager said  “The units take much less electricity to run and are just as bright, providing a safe space for our staff & visitors in the dark. We plan on using the money we’ll save to go towards installing additional EV chargers for staff & visitors.

The rising cost of energy prompted us to look for ways of reducing our consumption. We didn’t really know where to start & were concerned with the potential cost to make the changes. We became aware of the grant & invited a representative to visit us to discuss the options. They conducted an energy audit, which suggested upgrading the lighting as a quick win, with minimal disruption to the business.

It can be hard to know where to begin when seeking to reduce one’s carbon footprint. Getting the professionals in to conduct an energy audit is an excellent place to start”.
