Welwyn Hatfield Council has been awarded £4,694 through the Museum Development South East fund to upgrade the lighting at the Roman Bath House to energy-efficient LEDs.

This project supports our commitment to improving energy efficiency across our sites and contributes to reducing the Council’s corporate carbon emissions.

Welwyn Hatfield Council owns and manages two museums: the Roman Bath House and Mill Green Museum. In 2024, we successfully secured funding to replace the lighting at Mill Green Museum. With this latest grant, both museums are now equipped with modern, energy-efficient lighting thanks to external funding support.
